A Rhythm & Blues Christmas with Andre & the J-Tones

Andre Bisson released a CD this year called Rhythm & Blues Experience that was recently nominated for the Hamilton Music Awards for “Blues Recording of the Year”.
He is also having a concert featuring his original songs and a new set
of arrangements of Christmas tunes in the style of Rhythm & Blues.
The concert is taking place at the Royal Hamilton Yacht Club on Sunday, December 13, 2009 @ 7:30 p.m.
with a great band of 6 players including Andre Bisson on Vocals/Guitar,
Kevin Freer on bass, Elliott Marshall playing the drums, Loretta Hale
on Trumpet, Wyatt Gibson on Alto Sax, and lastly Jackie Chalmers on
Tenor Sax.
Andre recorded his CD in
August 2008 at Canterbury Studio’s in Toronto using Canada’s top drawer
musicians including, Mark Kelson, Collin Barrett, Dave Murphy, Dan
Rodrigues, Jason Logue, Rob Somerville, John Johnson, and Steve
Bijakowski. It is played on CBC Edmonton Saturday Night Blues with
Holger Petersen as well as other radio stations throughout Canada and
the US. This CD has been made in a time where Rhythm & Blues isn't
necessarily at its prime, however Andre keeps true to the classic
Rhythm & Blues of the 60's and 70's like Wilson Pickett, Otis
Redding, Sam & Dave, The Blues Brothers, Joe Cocker, and much more.
